Black Box accepted to the New England Graduate Media Symposium!

I’m very excited to announce that I’ve been invited to present Black Box at the 2014 New England Graduate Media Symposium!

The theme of this year’s symposium is “Performing Actuality: How Reality is Re-presented.”  I’ll be presenting during the Blurring Reality and Fiction = Blurring Form panel, where we’ll examine hybrid forms of storytelling and techniques.

Su Friedrich (my heroine), will be this year’s keynote speaker.  Su is an incredible experimental filmmaker, and her film, Sink or Swim, was a HUGE inspiration for me when I was making Black Box.

The symposium takes place on Friday, February 14th.  Free and open to all media-making graduate students in New England.

Many thanks to the NEG Media Symposium Committee and to Emerson College for giving me this wonderful opportunity!!
